What Botox and Dysport do
Botox® and Dysport® are prescription neuromodulators. Injected in small amounts, they relax the muscles that crease your skin when you frown, squint or raise your brows. Lines soften, and you keep natural expression.
Areas we treat
- Frown lines between the brows
- Forehead lines
- Crow’s feet around the eyes
At your consultation, we’ll talk through any other areas you’re interested in and whether they’re right for you.
Your appointment
After a short consultation, the treatment areas are cleaned, and the injections take only minutes with a fine needle. Most people return to their day right away. You may notice small bumps, redness or a bruise at the injection sites, which usually fade quickly.
Results
You’ll start to see a difference within a few days, with full results at about two weeks. Results usually last about three to four months, and a follow-up treatment keeps them going. Individual results vary.

Common questions
Botox or Dysport: which is better?
Both relax the muscles that cause expression lines. They differ slightly in how they spread and how quickly they take effect. Dr. Gonzales will recommend one based on your goals and history.
Does it hurt?
Most people feel only quick pinches from the fine needle, and the injections take just minutes.
When can I get back to my day?
Right away for most people. We’ll give you simple aftercare instructions, such as not rubbing the treated area that day.
How long do results last?
Usually about three to four months. Individual results vary.
How should I prepare?
Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements beforehand. If a blood thinner was prescribed for you, do not stop it on your own; talk with your prescribing doctor first. See our FAQ for more.
